Tradescantia Species

Variegated (Tracescantia albiflora)

A slower growing Tradescantia, this plant is new to us this year(2023)! The leaves are almost transparent, with white coloration on a light green background.  Looks amazing in hanging containers. Easy to grow, does not like direct sunlight.

Teddy Bear Vine (Cyanotis kewensis)

Not an actual Tradescantia, it is a relative that grows in similar habits and care to Tradescantias. Nice fuzzy, almost sparkly foliage with a brown fuzzy coloration under the leaves and on the vines.

Purple Heart Wandering Jew (Tradescantia pallida)

A favorite among gardeners, this fast growing plant is almost care free once established! Drought and frost tolerant, this plant grows well outside in Zone 8. Leaves are a purple-green if grown indoors or in the shade, and a dark rich purple if grown in full sun. Makes a quick growing groundcover.

Wandering Jew (Tradescantia zebrina)

The classic Tradescantia, this staple is common and mesmerizing at the same time. Its striped, multi-colored leaves contrast well with solid colored plants! Makes a fast growing groundcover. Not hardy in Zone 8.

Green Wandering Jew

This green variety is a hardy groundcover that does great in Zone 8 as an outdoor plant. Easy to grow, this plant is great if you want a fast growing plant that is easy to care for.
