Amistad Salvia is an easy to grow, upright perennial that is among the first flowers to bloom in our gardens. It is a mainstay of our landscape as it never fails to attract and feed the hummingbirds, bees, and other pollinators.  It is a relaible bloomer from mid Spring all the way to the first frost! 

Growing to a maximum of 6 feet, or higher in sheltered areas, this large showy plant bears spikes of black calyces that open to reveal a large violet trumpet-shaped flower. Its dark green foliage is dense, allowing for the plant to have hedge capabilities.
