Hemigraphis Species

Dragons Tongue (Hemigraphis repanda) is a small bushy houseplant that resembles flames coming out of a dragons mouth! Its bamboo-like foliage is a darker green with striking purple! This plant pairs well with larger plants, and can be used as a groundcover in warmer climates.

Purple Waffle (Hemigraphis alternata) is a slightly larger growing Hemigraphis that is commonly used as a houseplant. Its leaves are very textured, resembling waffles to some.  This plant is slightly more picky about its habitat than Dragons Tongue, and requires a source of humidity to stay happy. A great plant to use in Terrariums!
